  • Run 2004 – 22 August 2024 – AGPU run, Ealing Common

    Hare – New Balls Please

    This week’s run will be from the Springfield (Acton) Bowls Club, 25-27 Western Gardens, London W5 3RS Map Link. The nearest Station is Ealing Common on the Piccadilly Line and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this venue. The run will start from the Bowls Club at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the it will be followed by the AGPU, at which the mismanagement committee for the next twelve months will be elected. If you are interesting for standing for the new committee please let New Balls know in advance. There will be free food laid on, Indian vegetarian, for the AGPU, in the best traditions of pork barrel politics, but without the pork.


  • Run 2003 – 15 August 2024 – Gunnersbury/Chiswick

    Hare – On Your Back

    This week’s run will be from The Pilot, 56 Wellesley Road, Chiswick W4 4BZ Map Link . There will be a trail of chalk p-arrows from the nearest station, Gunnersbury (District Line, and Overground between Richmond and Stratford). The run will start rom the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its durations.

    This run number celebrates the year of the Hare’s birth. Unless we recruit some very young hashers in the very near future, this will be the last time this ever happens.

    There will be a drink stop, so please bring your collapsible cups.


  • Run 2002 – 8 August 2024 – South Kensington

    Hare – Bobo

    This week’s run will be from the Imperial College Union Bar, which is in the Beit Quadrangle on Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BB. Map Link. This is about a kilometre from South Kensington Station (District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines) from where there will be a p-trail.

    The hare fears that he will be pilloried because of the limited choice of beers, but you should bear in mind that he arranged the run at short notice to fill a gap, so if anyone should be blamed it is the Hare Raiser. However, the prices should be favourable.


  • Run 2000, 1 August 2024 – Richmond

    Hare – Knickers

    This will be West London’s 2000th run, and it will be from The Lass O’Richmond Hill, 8 Queen’s Road, Richmond TW10 6JJ Map Link. The nearest station is Richmond, on the District Line and Overground lines from Waterloo. The pub is roughly twenty minutes’ walk from the station and there will be a chalk P trail to guide you to the pub, but you can also take the 371 bus from Stop D outside the station to the Richmond Hill/Richmond Gate stop, which is just outside the pub.

    The run will start from the pub at 19.15 Hours prompt and there will be secure bag storage there for its duration. This run must start on time and it is recommended that you aim to be at Richmond station by 18.30 hours at the latest, to allow time to get from the station to the pub, stash bags, socialize, buy T shirts, Hare Talk and general faffing before the run. We have the use of the pub garden at the back, please congregate there. If it rains we can use the back of the pub interior.

    It will be a shortish run, but with loops for those who who want bit more distance. There will be at least one celebratory drink stop, so you should bring a drinking vessel.


  • Run 1999, 25 July 2024 – Vauxhall

    Hare – Man Magnet

    This week’s run will be from The Windmill, 44 Lambeth High St SE1 7JS Map Link the nearest station is Vauxhall and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will provide a reserved, but not secure, area for us to store our bags for its duration, it might be good to have a bag sitter, if one is available.

    This week’s run number, 1999, celebrates the year the Hare, Man Magnet, made good her escape from the convict colony and and arrived in the UK, where she managed to secure a job with the London fire brigade, so the 999 in the run number is doubly apposite. This is the the first pub the Hare used for a run and, amazingly, it is still the same, as indeed is she. Pub has a good selection of real ales and pizzas. There will be drink stop on trail, so bring your collapsible plastic cups.


  • Run 1998 18 July 2024 – Bermondsey

    Hares – Shakes Beer and Sista Do-Rag

    This week’s run will take place at the eastern end of West London, it will from The Old Justice, 94 Bermondsey Wall East, London SE16 4TY Map Link . The closest station is Bermondsey, on the Jubilee Line, and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its duration. There will be a drink stop on trail, which, like the co-Hare, will be imported from Canada, so bring your collapsible cups, if you have one.


  • Run 1997, 11 July 2024 – Harrow on the Hill

    Hare – Mad Cow

    This week’s run will be from The Moon on the Hill, 373-375 Station Road, Harrow HA1 2AW  Map Link. This is a Wetherspoon’s pub.

    The nearest station is Harrow on the Hill, which is on the Metropolitan and Chiltern lines. There will be a trail of chalk P arrows from this station to the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and bag storage should be provided, though the hare is concerned that if a different manager is on duty (it’s a ‘Spoons after all) they won’t have been told. Therefore, a bag sitter might be a good idea.

    Please bring your collapsible cups, as there will be a drink stop.


  • Run 1996, 4 July 2024 – Pimlico

    Hare – Opee

    This week’s run will be from The Grosvenor, 79 Grosvenor Road SW1V 3LA Map Link. The nearest station is Pimlico on the Victoria Line, and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from the Bessborough Road exit of the station to help you find the pub. You can also get to the pub by crossing the river from Vauxhall Station, on the main line to and from Waterloo. The run will start from the pub at the usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will provide unsecured storage for our bags for its duration.

    It’s that time of year again… time to celebrate our democratic freedoms in true American style. Almost 250 years ago, the US flipped the UK the bird, but now we are all singing Kumbaya together as we face off against all sorts of unsavory foes. So cum to this Hash dressed in your patriotic finest and celebrate the centuries old friendship between those of you who have funny accents and those of us who don’t.

    Please bring your collapsible cups in case Opee manages to arrange a drink stop, keeping in mind that he makes this stuff up as he goes.

    This week’s run will be from The Roebuck, 72 Hampton Rd, Hampton Hill, Teddington, Hampton TW12 1JN  Map Link. The nearest station is Fulwell, and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its duration, but not necessarily securely.  

    Fulwell is on the mainline from Waterloo, also plenty of buses go to Fulwell bus station, which is near the train station, from Richmond, Twickenham and Hounslow

    There will be a drink stop, so bring your collapsible, cups if you have one.

    This week’s run will be from the JJ Moons pub, 12 Victoria Rd, Ruislip HA4 0AA Map Link. The nearest station is Ruislip Manor tube, on the Metropolitan Line, and there will b a trail of chalk P arrows fm there to guide you to the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will provide an unsecured public space for us to store out bags for its duration, and the Hare has arranged for a bag- sitter. There will be a drink stop on trail so bring your collapsible cups, if you have one.

    This week’s run will be from The Greystoke, 7 Queens Parade, Hanger Lane, W5 3HU Map Link. The nearest station is North Ealing Tube, on the Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly line and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and they will provide somewhere we can store our bags for its duration.

    Hare – Martini Slut

    This week’s run will be from The Ship, 10 Thames Bank, Mortlake, SW14 7QR Map Link. The nearest station is Mortlake mainline and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this pub, The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its duration. This is a virgin Hare and a drink stop on trail is a strong possibility, so bring your reusable collapsible cups, if you have one.


  • Run 1991, 30 May 2024 – Whitton

    Hare – Petal

    This week’s run will take place from The Admiral Nelson, I23 Nelson Road, Whitton TW2 7BB Map Link. This is 350 metres North of Whitton Station and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from that station to help you find the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours. Trains to Witton from Clapham Junction leave at 18:13, 18:17, 18:25, 18:28 & 18:43 all arrive before 19:00 (13 & 43 take 17 minutes via Putney & Richmond, others take the Barnes, Chiswick, Brentford loop).  Fast return trains leave at 20 & 50 past the hour. No drink stop, but a nice big pub.


  • Run 1990, 23 May 2024 – Shepherds Bush

    Hare – Eagermount

    This week’s run will be from The Green Pub, 172-174 Uxbridge Road W12 7JP Map Link. This pub is is a two minute walk from Shepherds Bush Market, on the Hammersmith and City and the Circle line, and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from that station to help you find the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours.

    The pub does not serve food, but we are welcome to order food in from elsewhere, or bring out own. There will be no drink stop on trail.

    Update-The pub will provide an area for us to store our bags but this will be in the public area so a bag sitter will be required. If you are willing and able to forgo doing the trail and volunteer for this role please contact the Hare and/or use the comment button below.
