Come and support live music and local pubs, and have a great social night out with fellow hashers. The infamous Urbane Foxes are making a rare appearance at a well known West London pub -the Magpie and Crown, Brentford. Free entry, from 8.30pm.
(By the way, the Foxes are now a 40% hash band!)

This week’s run will be from The Green Man, Putney Heath, Wildcroft Rd, London SW15 3NG  Map Link. The nearest station is Putney, on the mainline out of Waterloo (which should be unaffected by the tube strike which is scheduled on this day). I am not sure if the Hare plans to do a P trail to the pub, but you are probably best getting a bus from the bottom of Putney Hill to the Heath in any case, buses are frequent, and it is a long walk. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours, so allow time to get there, well worth it, nice pub and great Hashing territory, and there will be a drink stop, so bring a collapsible cup if you have one.

The Urbane Foxes will be previewing their 60’s themed setlist that has been curated for the UK Nash Hash Swinging 60’s London party to be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend. If you are unable to make it to Nash Hash then this is your opportunity to dress up in your finest 60’s gear and dance to some of the iconic songs from that era.

Have you always dreamed of playing with other musicians in a rock band, but don’t know how to get started?  Or maybe you used to play in a band back in the day but, for whatever reason, it folded?     Don’t worry, now is your chance to link up with other like-minded musicians to learn a few songs and perform live for your friends and family.

CLAWS this year’s CLaWs  (City, London and West London Hash House Harriers) Christmas Party will be on Saturday 7th December from 7pm until very late. Registration for this series of events is now closed. However, you are still welcome to attend the 2000th run on 1st August and the London Hash / Black Death run on 4th August without pre-registration.

Loads of live music throughout the day all over Brentford, with plenty of street food stalls and a plethora of good pubs. Join the Urbane Foxes at the Six Bells from 8:30pm to round off your evening with a selection of rock and pop favourites from 60’s to the present day.

As you should all know by now, we will be celebrating WLH’s 2000th run on 1 August this year. To mark the occasion, we will be putting together an album of historic WLH photos, charting the progress of West London hashers over the last 40 years or so. We already have quite a comprehensive archive on the WLH website, which goes back to around 2016. We also have a few photos salvaged from the old westlondonhash.org website, dating back to about 2006, which will be loaded on to the current website in due course. Before that, nothing. That is where you come in. Many you will have old photos, digital or hard copy, recording the exploits of you and your fellow hashers all the way back to run 0001 on 3rd March 1986.

If you have any old photos or other memorabilia such as run sign-on sheets, etc, that you are happy to share with WLH, please send them to wlhashflash@gmail.com, ideally as a link to where you have them saved in the cloud, or failing that, as an e-mail attachment.
We will be using the resulting photo archive to:

• create an on-line 2000th celebration photo album on the WLH website
• generate a photo “slide show” video for background viewing at the 2000 run event
• provide the content for a special edition hard copy 2000th run memento photo book (at cost)
