Run No 1818 – Thursday 29th October -Richmond Park Halloween run

Advance registration is mandatory for all participants in West London Runs during the current Covid emergency, if you plan to come on this run please register using This Link. The hare has requested that you register as early as possible so that she can gauge numbers for drink stops.

The trail for this week’s run will start from Richmond Gate of Richmond Park map link  and the run will end at the same location. Richmond Gate is around 20  minutes walk from Richmond station and can also be reached by taking the 371 bus from outside the station and disembarking at The American University on Queens road.

The following GM’s instructions for all runs under Tier 2 restrictions will apply:-The start time for the run is 6.30 pm to 7pm from the gate, however, faster runners should leave closer to 7pm.  If you have a group ready to leave just before 7pm please wait a few minutes for any late comers so they do not need to run on their own.  DO NOT start before 6.30pm as the trail won’t be ready and the drink stops will not be operational.  Hashers leaving the start point after 6.50pm are requested to start marking through the checks, which will all be in flour this week, so no chalk needed, but please consider bringing some to future runs.

The Hare is Casting Slouch

This will be our Halloween Trick or Treat run and the Hare says that it will be completely in Richmond Park so will be spooky, scary and dark, a torch will be essential and the Hare suggests Hashers run in groups. Fancy dress is encouraged for all participants, as well as saying “trick-or-treat” to receive their provisions. She has also promised that the run will be short and and sociable, please observe social distancing and the Rule of Six at drink stops. There are a few pubs with gardens near Richmond Gate, where groups of up to six can meet outdoors after the run: The Lass of Richmond Hill and The Marlborough are at the top of the hill, and of course the ever hash friendly Dukes Head is in the Vineyard, a bit nearer to the station.
