Run 1939, 15 June 2023 – Battersea

Hare – N4P

This week’s run will be from the Mondo Brewery Tap House Link to website, 86-92 Stewart’s Road, SW8 4UG Map Link.  The nearest station is Battersea Power Station on the Northern line (zone 1) and there will be trail of chalk P arrows from this station to help you find the Brewery. The run will start from the Brewery at our usual time of 19.15 hours and they will store our bags for its duration. The venue is also accessible from Battersea Park and Queenstown Road national rail stations but no P trail will be marked from these .

Last time we ran from this venue there were long queues because only one person was serving, and there were a lot of food orders. The brewery have assured the hare that they will have two members of staff on, and they no longer organise food, so the queue for drinks should not be long.  They are happy for people to order food in.

There will be a drink stop so please bring your reusable cups.

Hares – Smart Arse and Kebab

Registration is required for all participants in West London runs during the current pandemic. If you plan to come on this run please register ASAP by using This Link.

This week’s run will start from The Prince of Wales Townhouse, 73 Dalling Road, Hammersmith, W6 0JD map link. The nearest underground station is Ravenscourt Park and a ‘p-trail’ will be marked from this station to help you find the pub.

The usual anti-Covid protocols will apply, no bag drop, run with what you bring and a staggered start in groups of up to six. The trail of 9 km will have two options for short cutting, to suit all tastes. The hares have a map to illustrate this and will meet you at the start of the trail. Walkers leave from 18.30 hours, runners should start by 19.00. There will be a beer stop towards the end of the trail and tables are booked at the pub from 20.00 until 22.00, seating arrangements will be decided by the Hares when the number of attendees is known.

The pub is a member of The Big Smoke group and has a large number of beers on tap. Order your drinks by scanning the QR code at the bottom of the food menu. The ‘collect a stamp’ system is not running at present but they will honour a free beer for completed cards, from The Express Tavern, and any others in the group, if you have one. Also, Thursday night is Steak Night, if any of you are interested. You will need the NHS Covid app to check in to the venue, or you can do this manually as you enter.
