The Garibaldi biscuit was named after Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Italian general and leader of the struggle to unify Italy. Garibaldi made a popular visit to South Shields in England in 1854. The biscuit was first manufactured by the Bermondsey biscuit company Peek Freans in 1861. The biscuits are also known as “flies graveyard”.
Interesting fancy dress opportunities!

Pub looks closer to Canada Water? Certainly closer to Rotherhithe, which is a pain to get to though.
Love Deuce
Looking forward to seeing your outfit then Rambo!
I timed it and the pub is exactly 6 minutes walk from Bermondsey tube station. Rotherhithe station is v. close but the P trail is from Bermondsey.
