Hares: Wacker and Mad Cow
This is the first of two trails to be run as part of the West London Away Weekend at Littlehampton. A coach will be provided to transport hashers from Littlehampton to the start of the run in Arundel. There wil of course be a drinkstop on the trail, followed by a drink and pizza at a local brewery.
Hare – K4
This week’s run will be from The Wheatsheaf, 41 Haven Lane W5 2HZ Map Link. The nearest station is Ealing Broadway on the Central, District and Elizabeth Lines, and there will be trail of chalk P arrows from there to the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its duration.

This week’s run will be from The Bull’s Head, 15 Strand-on-the-Green, W4 3PQ Map Link. The nearest stations are Chiswick overground (from Waterloo via Clapham Junction) and Gunnersbury (District Line and North London Line). There will be a trail of chalk P arrows from Gunnersbury station to help you find this pub, there will not be a P trail from Chiswick station. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and pub has reserved the downstairs for us, where bags can be left, but not securely.

The nearest station is Mortlake (overground, to and from Waterloo) and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from that station to help you find the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours. The pub is also on various bus routes, including 33, 337 and 493.

The nearest station is Richmond and will be a trail of P arrows from the back exit (onto Church Road) of this station to help you find the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will provide unsecured storage for our bags in their back room. There will be a drink stop, so bring your collapsible drinking vessels.
As the nights are now drawing in, a torch is advisable.

This week’s run will take place from Ryan’s, 282 Northfield Avenue, W5 4UB Map Link. This is a short distance from Northfields underground station (Piccadilly Line) and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will store our bags for its duration. Despite a recent change in management, the pub still serves good Thai food.
This is the hare’s birthday run, but rumours that the number of the run coincides with the year of his birth are vehemently denied. To celebrate this, there will be a beer (so drinking vessels not needed) stop, unless it is pouring with rain. Bring a torch.

The nearest station is Bermondsey, on the Jubilee Line, which is five minutes walk away, and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to guide you to the pub. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and we can store or bags in its cellar for it duration.
There will probably be a drink stop. The hare would appreciate help in carry the supplies for the drink stop from the pub to its location (about fifteen minutes’ walk). Failing that she will probably carry a lightweight drink stop with her on the trail. Don’t forget your collapsible cups.

The run this week will be from The Pilot, 56 Wellesley Road, Map Link. The nearest station is Gunnersbury, on the Richmond branch of the District Line. Leave by the back entrance of the station (turning right after the barriers) and turn right at the exit from the station to follow the footpath to where it meets Wellesley Road, then turn right; the pub is less than 150 metres on the left. The run will start from the pub at our usual time of 19.15 hours and the pub will provide bags storage for it duration.

This week’s run and AGPU will be from the North Harrow Home Guard Club, off the Pinner Road, North Harrow, HA2 7TA Map Link. The nearest station is North Harrow on the Metropolitan Line (Zone 5) and there will be a trail of chalk P arrows from there to help you find this venue. The run will start at our usual time of 19.15 hours and will be fairly short as it will be followed by the Annual General Meeting at which the mismanagement for the next twelve months will be elected. After the elections there will be a sumptuous buffet of free food served up.
